What I Made, February 2026

I found this tulle fabric with floral sequined aplique in the remenants bin at Joann Fabrics shortly before they announced they were closing and finally came up with the perfect use for it. Expanding on the use of fabric as a layer of my fiber art pieces versus actually weaving them in. Very pleased with the way this one turned out.

My grandmother was in the hospital and recovering from surgery in a nursing home for most of February, so I didn’t set aside much time to be creative. As the month came to a close, I remembered I had planned to keep track of what I made all year and forced myself to create. I beaded 5 suncatchers, and our cat Pistol Pete thought they were just lovely.

I also made this small weaving in hopes of finally putting one of my shadowbox frames to good use, and I went with yarn colors that pack a punch.
